About Summer Young

I am a filmmaker passionate about storytelling and messages that will subconsciously change society’s way of thinking for the better. Growing up an athlete in San Diego, CA. I learned discipline and what it took to work as a team. Over the last 7 years I have collaborated with other creatives to not only produce films and music videos but live shows, photoshoots and photo/video exhibits.

I am now based in Los Angeles and the San Francisco Bay Area. In addition to creating my own art, I have worked as an assistant director, film editor, a cinema camera sales and tech representative, on/off-site photo/video consultant, youth basketball coach and event planner.

As I continue my journey, I'm driven by a relentless passion to create meaningful and impactful films. I strive to bring diverse voices and perspectives to the forefront, to challenge norms, and to inspire others to see the world through a different lens. Filmmaking is not just a career for me; it's a lifelong commitment to sharing stories that have the power to change lives.
